2013 Turkish Film Week, jointly sponsored by General Administration of Press and Publication, Radio, Film and Television of China and Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism, was held in August in Beijing and Xi’an. 2013 is Turkish Cultural Year in China. As one of the serial activities, the Film Week presented 7 excellent Turkish films such as Can and The Silent Night in Beijing and Xi’an. Those Turkish films were all the fine pieces in recent years; some of them won the important prizes at Tokyo and Berlin International Film Festivals. During the Film Week, film makers of the two countries had in-depth discussions as regards the film development tendency in two countries, policies of joint-production and its current situations.
